Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent anua 9, 2012 ustin Femrite P.E., Ci En ~ eer <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Resolution Approving 2012 Maintenance Agreement with Cal Portnex, Ci Administrator <br />Wright County for Parrish Avenue Bridge Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt the attached resolution approving the 2012 Maintenance Agreement between the City of Elk River <br />and Wright County fox routine maintenance work on the Parrish Avenue Bridge. <br />Background/Discussion <br />Annually, the City of Elk River is asked to enter into a maintenance agreement with Wright County for <br />maintenance of the Parrish Avenue Bridge. <br />Since the bridge was rebuilt, the City of Elk River and Wright County have shared maintenance duties. <br />Since 2002, this agreement has been entered into annually; therefore, Wright County is asking the City of <br />Elk River to once again enter into a maintenance agreement for the Parrish Avenue Bridge during 2012. <br />The agreement is exactly the same as the agreement entered into in past years. <br />Financial Impact <br />There is no financial impact beyond the maintenance issues that the city has currently been responsible <br />fox on the Parrish Avenue Bridge.• These include maintenance of the street lights, removal of snow from <br />the sidewalk, maintenance of the slope and berms on the north approach, snow and ice control from <br />bridge and approaches, and removal of marking/spray paint from visible surfaces of bridge structure. <br />Attachments <br />^ Cover letter from Wayne Fingalson, Wright County Highway Engineer <br />^ Resolution Approving the Maintenance Agreement for 2012 <br />Action Motion by Second by Vote <br />Follow Up <br />~AMENEA 11' <br />~-~'U~'~ <br />
