President, has also indicated to me that he should be able to get me something in
writing shortly. However unlike the other commitments from the other customers, Elk
River Youth Hockey's proposal will properly have several stipulations that will have
to be looked at and negotiated.
7. Girls and Boys Hieh School Game Passes
The information has been sent to both Girls and Boys Booster Clubs regarding the
high school game passes. As you are aware of, the Commission voted to create a pass
for the two Clubs that will allow them to sell the passes at a $2.00 discount per game
for Adults and $1.50 discount for seniors. No student passes will be sold. The first
home games game will be held November 17`h so we should have an idea within a
week of how sales went.
8. Caaital Imnrovement Items
Over the summer the new evaporator cooling tower was installed for the barn ice
plant. The new cooling tower will allow us to operate at higher temperatures without
using water to cool down the refrigerant gas. This will result in energy savings due to
the fact that the motor pumping the water will be used less. The cooling tower also
features a startup system for the fan that ramps up the speed of the motor driving
according to the pressure, this two saves on energy costs and belt ware because the
motor starts at lower speeds and only operates at the speed the unit is calling for.
For 2012 we will be purchasing a new floor scrubber. The existing scrubber is over
ten years old and is in need of major repairs
