INFORMATION
Medical Manufacturing Company Hits The Ground Running in Elk River, Minnesota
Medical Extrusion Technologies-Minnesota, Inc. has expanded with a new facility in Elk
River, Minnesota. Their charter will be manufacturing plastic tubing and profiles for the
medical, telecommunications, industrial, and recreational industries. The workforce will
be recruited from the local communities in the greater Metro area. The Company has
chosen Elk River, Minnesota for its receptiveness to new business, proximity to its
principal medical customers, and experienced workforce. Medical Extrusion
Technologies-Minnesota, Inc. will be hosting an open house for its customers and friends
on Thursday, September 14, 2006 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The long process of investigating various sites, choosing a location, and working with
City and County officials to begin and see this project through has gone very well.
The City of Elk River and Sherburne County officials have been very helpful and
encouraging throughout the process. Tom Bauer, President of Medical Extrusion
Technologies-Minnesota, Inc. states "The City and County Government Officials have
enthusiastically embraced the expansion of our business, and welcomed us into the
community. Inspections were even available on the eve of the 4`h of July Holiday
weekend, which promoted achieving occupancy in a timely manner. This project has
taken approximately 9 months from ground breaking to completion.
MET-Minnesota currently employs 5 people and will grow to approximately 25 within
the next two years. Our heartfelt thanks to the community of Elk River, Sherburne
County, and the State of Minnesota for enabling our firm with a presence to assist a
variety of industries both locally and world-wide.
