Consider 04/05/05 Ice Arena Commission Agenda Election of Officers was added to the agenda. MOVED BY COMMISSIONER JOHNSON AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER FARBER TO APPROVE THE APRIL 5, 2005 ICE ARENA COMMISSION AGENDA AS AMENDED. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 3. Consider Ice Arena Commission Minutes ^ 08/03/2004 Regular Meeting Minutes ^ 09/28/2004 Special Meeting Muiutes MOVED BY COMMISSIONER HALGREN AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER POLSTON-HORK TO APPROVE THE AUGUST 3, 2004 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. MOVED BY COMMISSIONER POLSTON-HORK AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER HALGREN TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 28, 2004 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 4. Ouen Mike Kent Madsen, 19312°d St NW -stated that he was recently at the Ice Arena in Des Moines, Iowa and they had pictures of hockey players that played youth or high school hockey at the Arena that went on to play professional hockey. Mr. Madsen explained that the signs were made of vinyl and had a current picture of the player along with a brief player history. Mr. Madsen indicated that he believed the cost of the signs to be approximately $$350. Parks and Recreation Director Bill Maertz stated that he would check with the Planning Department in regards to the city's sign ordinance to see if these types of signs would be allowed.
