In February 2007, <br />ERMU entered into an agreement to participate through Central Minnesota Municipal Power Agency <br />(CMMPA) in the CAPX2020 Brookings-Twin Cities Transmission Project. Through MMTG, ERMU is <br />currently receiving approximately $4,500 revenue as return on investment in existing ERMU substation <br />equipment. A joint City Council and Utilities Commission meeting is scheduled for March 7'". At this <br />meeting, CMMPA will make a presentation on project specifics. A second joint meeting is then <br />scheduled for March 14r'. At this meeting, a decision will need to be made by the City Council and <br />Utilities Commission on whether or not to increase ERMU's investment allocation. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />As follow up to the March 7t° joint City Council and Utilities Commission meeting, staff will address <br />Commission questions. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />No action required at this time. <br />
