The City of Elk River held the 2010 Energy Expo at the Elk River High School. The <br />fifth Energy Expo will be held on March 5, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Elk River High School <br />once again. The following items will be a part of the day's program: <br />• Keynote speaker, Ron Schara & Raven at 10:00 a.m. in Zabee Theater following the Mayor's <br />Welcome Address <br />• Energy Conservation mini-workshops displays about CFL vs. LED lights, Water Conservation, <br />Project Conserve Update, and Recycling and Organics <br />• Exhibitors regarding sustainable and renewable energy technologies, products, and services <br />• "Project Conserve" participants' experiences <br />• Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) children's activities and Community Ed Carnival <br />games and bounce houses <br />• Food vendors: Blink Bonnie Subs, Caribou Coffee, Dunn Bros., and Sweet Peas <br />• Grand prize drawings for (3) energy audits and (1) Elk River Municipal Utilities Security System at <br />the close of the day (must be a resident of Elk River or ERMU customer to win) <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />To provide this event to the public free of charge, sponsors have been solicited.
