Item # 6. <br />ver <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager <br />DATE: August 3, 2005 <br />SUBJECT: Staff Report <br />Hot Topic( of the Month <br />We participated in the Sherburne County Fair parade on Friday, July 15`h for the second year. <br />The theme the staff and children chose was Willy Wonka. They all worked together to <br />decorate the float during the week and several program participants rode on the float during <br />the parade. <br />,July Programs <br />During July we offered the following programs: <br />Yogilates, Cardio Sculpt, Beginner Step, Step, Intermediate Step, Kickboxing Circuit, Yoga, <br />50/50, Run/Walk Club, teen concerts in the park and at Emporium, Cheer America, Young <br />Americans Self Defense, Eager Elks Soccer, Eager Elks Golf, Eager Elks T-ball, Eager Elks <br />Tumbling, Parent/Child Yoga, Kids Cardio, Wiggles and Giggles, CRUNCH, Youth Golf <br />Lessons and League, Summer Soccer League, Skyhawks Basketball, Skyhawks Cheerleading, <br />3`d Lair Skateboard Camp, Lions Den Sutnmer Camp, PARK, Golf Camp, Baseball Camp, <br />Floor Hockey Camp, Favorite Phy Ed Games, Rec Express, Chttings, T-ball League, and <br />Termite T-ball League. <br />Facility Use <br />We reserved over 500 hours of field use, over 50 hours of park and shelter use, 40 hours at <br />Trott Brook Barn, 44 hours at Emporium, and 256 hours at Lions Park Center. <br />Wellness Committee <br />We have 9 employees participating in the Relay for Life on August 5`t. We will be <br />sponsoring the moon walk at the event as well. <br />
