~ ~ O ~ Qr~L`~ l~~(\i~11711 <br />i ~j <br />RESOLUTION 1I- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A SOLAR ENERGY LEGACY GRANT <br />APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL <br />RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the grant application made to the Mumesota <br />Department of Natural Resources for a Solar Energy Legacy Grant. The application is to <br />purchase, install, and interpret solar electric panels on the Great Northern Trail of the Elk <br />River Recreational Trail System. The project is located within Woodland Trails Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes the twenty-five (25) percent match <br />requirement for the Solar Energy Legacy Grants, and has secured the matching funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED if the City of Elk River is awarded a grant <br />by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Elk River agrees to accept <br />the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above <br />referenced project. The City of Elk River will comply with all applicable laws, environmental <br />requirements, and regulations as stated in the grant agreement; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Elk River names the <br />fiscal agent for the City of Elk River for this project as: <br />Finance Director <br />City of Elk River <br />13065 Orono Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Elk River hereby assures the Solar Energy <br />Project will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years. <br />Passed and adopted this 18~' dap of January, 2011. <br />John J.
