ELK RIVER LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES <br />October 28, 1997 <br />Board Members: <br />Murray McNair,Chair present <br />Mary Keifenheim, Vice Chair present <br />Eleanor Holm, Secretary present <br />Elly Kretsch present <br />Linda Ritchie present <br />Also present: Mick Stoffers, Librarian - Brady Halvorson,City <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Chair McNair. <br />Brady Halvorson from City Planning presented 2 plans for <br />the new parking lot for our review. Work will begin in <br />the spring on the former Faye Ryding property acquired <br />by the city. <br />Minutes from August were approved as presented. <br />No correspondence or suggestion box items to discuss. <br />Acceptance for all bills and budget updates for July, August <br />and September was moved by Mary and seconded by Linda. All in favor. <br />Old Business: <br />Ryding property has been acquired by the City as stated above <br />and the house will be destroyed soon. <br />Lights for the parking lot are here and will be installed soon. <br />New Business: <br />The dead trees have been removed. <br />The mat in the entry has been repaired. <br />The Board agreed with Mick's suggestion that we purchase a <br />plaque for the entry containing names of persons who have <br />given memorial gifts to the library. She will investigate <br />this and report to the Board next month. <br />Mick reports that circulation this year has been 1500-2000 <br />higher per month than the same month in 1996. <br />Resp//ectfully su~bmQ,i,~tt~ed, <br />Eleanor Holm <br />
