ELK RIVER LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES <br />November 23, 1999 <br />Murray McNair, Chair Present <br />Robert Jones, Vice Chair Present <br />Eleanor Holm, Secretary Present <br />Leslie Anderson Absent <br />Geraldine Graham Absent <br />Also present: Mick Stoffers,Librarian; Verne Oleksowicz,GRRL <br />Meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Chair McNair. <br />Secretary's report was approved with a motion by Murray and <br />a second by Eleanor. All in favor. <br />Mick gave each board member the current issue of Linking <br />Library Trustees. <br />Treasurer's reports from September and October were discussed; <br />a motion to approve was made by Bob with a second by Eleanor. <br />All in favor. <br />Librarian's Report: <br />Old Business: <br />Signs: Mick is working with Sarah at Public Works on completion <br />of signs for the library. <br />Book Drop Repaired: The Board thanks Murray for fixing the <br />outside book drop. <br />The Board reviewed the Service Master contract for carpet <br />cleaning for the library. <br />New Business: <br />Microfilm Reader/Printer Fund: With the donation of $100.00 <br />from the Fraternal Order of Eagles and $2000.00 from the <br />Elmer Anderson Foundation we now have sufficient funds to <br />purchase a printer. Mick gave us information on a Canon <br />Microprinter 90 and the Board discussed it. It was moved by <br />Eleanor with a second by Bob to purchase this machine after <br />Mick tests it and finds that it meets the library's needs. <br />All in favor. <br />Panic Buttons: Panic buttons have been installed at all three <br />of the front desk stations. <br />
