Jacobs suggested two additional cabinet makers. Stoffers will call these
additional cabinet makers and will also explore the high school tech ed program to see if
this is a project they might be willing to take on. Approved
unanimously.
Stoffers reported that zigzag shaped book holders were donated by the Anoka
County Library -Rum River Branch, which we will use in the juvenile section. These units
make it easier and more attractive for young people to search the shelves for books.
A new story time presenter has been hired.
Stoffers recommended that afree-standing sign be purchased, to be used to
announce and advertise presentations. She showed examples. One board member
expressed concern about the weight and diameter of the sign's base, to ensure that it
would not tip over and injure someone. Anderson made a motion, seconded by Graham,
to authorize the librarian to purchase an acrylic poster stand as long as it was returnable
in the event that the staff or board believed it to be unstable.
