Staff continues to work on the budget and make
appropriate updates/changes as information is forthcoming. GKI still doesn't expect to have
final rates until early December but they are providing us updated numbers as they work through
the process. Some updates are provided below.
llISCUSSION:
Electric Department Expense l3udeet
The overall approach for this year's budget remains the same - to control costs and pass on the
wholesale power cost rate increases. We are still anticipating an approximate 4% electric
wholesale increase to accommodate GRE's rate increase.
Preliminary Electric Retail Rate Increases
Kesidential =+4.5°/n (blended increase for a typical customer}
Commercial = +4.0% (blended increase in for a typical customer)
Industrial/Data Centers = 0% change in demand charge and a 4% energy cost increase
from $0.0545 to $0.0567 ($/1cWh)
Water Department Expense Budget

There may be some changes with the chemical prices in the expense budget and the capital
projects for water, as adjustments are made in response to our recent chlorine leak. More on
this impact will be presented in December.
