This position was recently vacated by Greg Berg who took a <br />position with Stems County. <br /> <br />Staff is pleased to announce we have an excellent candidate for the position. Her name is <br />Laurie Mezera-Kerr. She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University where she received a <br />B.A. in Local and Urban Affairs. She is working toward a Masters Degree in Public <br />Administration at Hamline University. <br /> <br />Laurie is currently employed as a Community Development intem with the City of <br />Anoka. She has done internships with the cities of New Hope, Golden Valley, Mounds <br />View and Hugo. At Mounds View and Hugo she dealt with recycling and solid waste <br />issues. Laurie is also a current member of the Sherburne County Waste Advisory <br />Committee. <br /> <br />The position of Environmental and Code enforcement Officer has been evaluated at a pay <br />grade "8". Staff is recommending Laurie is hired at step H, which is $13.18 per hour or <br />$27,414.40. We further recommend she receives the same cost of living increase as other <br />employees in January, 1998 and a step increase in July of 1998, if job performance is <br />satisfactory.
