**ITEM 3.14.** <br /> <br />'ity of <br /> <br />River <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />FROM: STEPHEN ROHLF, BUILDING AND <br /> ZON N <br /> <br />DATE: MARCH 17, 1997 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: RESIGNATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> AND CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br /> <br />Greg Berg, City Environmental and Code Enforcement Officer, gave his two <br />week notice on March 10, 1997. Staff recommends that the City Council <br />accept his resignation, which will be effective on March 21, 1997. <br /> <br />Staff is also asking the Council's permission to fill the position vacated by Mr. <br />Berg. When Greg was hired, there was another candidate for the job that <br />interviewed extremely well. If this person is still available, staff will be <br />recommending that he is hired. Otherwise, staff will be readvertising. <br /> <br />The last two employees in the position of Environmental and Code <br />Enforcement Officer left the city to take positions that paid more money. <br />Staff will be evaluating this position and have a recommendation for the <br />Council regarding its wage when we have a new candidate. <br /> <br /> s:Xb&z\steverXcodeenf, doc <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
