Item: 6 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />FROM: Steve Benoit, Recreation Manager <br />DATE: June 30, 2010 <br />SUBJECT: Staff Report <br />Hot Toyic(s) of the Month <br />June is a month that brings a high level of excitement to the Pazks and Recreation <br />Department in that it is the start to our busiest season of the year. Summer programs kicked <br />off in a positive manner with the Bike Rodeo and Safety Camp, along with a new special <br />event held at the Orono Athletic Complex which was the Minnesota Twins Clinic. The <br />Twins Clinic was sponsored by the Greater Minnesota Credit Union. The summer sports <br />camp series started out with a Basketball Camp. The SPA, or Summer Playground <br />Adventure, program began with the Whatchamacalit Camp which included a variety of <br />activities including games, crafts, and relay races.
