The initial study comprised of Ron Touchette, ED~1 President 700 acres centered around the station site, an the. East side of US HW~ 101169, and later expanded to the west side, far a total study of 930 acres. The plan focuses on piggy backing on the momentum from the ~orthstar commuter rail line, planning for the eventual changes to the US H Y 10 access and to provide a development framework far the ?5 acres of City owned land. The study is an inclusive review of major transportation routes and land use throughout the area. It addresses housing, employment, reta~ goals and maximizing. the transit areas around the station site. The future status of H~ 10/ 169 will have a significant impact tv this area. A completed regional corridor plan suggests that all at grade intersections from the Hwy 101 interchange to the eastern border of the City will close, to be re- placedwith one interchange serving the area.
