• <br /> <br />• <br />RESOLUTION 10- 19 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING A PREMISES PERMIT TO THE ZIMMERMAN <br />FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has received a letter from the Zimmerman Fire Relief <br />Association requesting the City Council adopt a resolution approving a premises permit in <br />order to conduct charitable gambling at the American Legion Post 112, located at 525 <br />Railroad Drive in Elk River; and <br />WHEREAS, Elk River City Code Section 38-164 (b) (2), "Restrictions on Issuance of <br />Premises Permit," states a premises permit can't be issued unless the physical site fox the <br />organization's headquarters are located within the city or a city contiguous to Elk River; and <br />WHEREAS, the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association fails to meet the requirements of Elk <br />River City Code because their organizational headquarters are located in the City of <br />Zimmerman, a city that is not contiguous to Elk River. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br />River, Minnesota as follows: <br />1.
