Zerwas, Chief of Police

November 20, 1996

COUNTY ROAD 33 TRAFFIC CONCERNS

On November 6, 1996, I had a meeting at the police department with
representatives from Barton Sand and Gravel and the Plaisted
Companies. Steve Rohlf (Building and Zoning Administrator) and
Bruce West (Fire Chief) were present from city staff. Sheriff
Bruce Anderson attended on behalf of Sherburne County.

We had a very good discussion with the gravel companies in regards
to traffic concerns in the above mentioned area. It was agreed by
all that a traffic study should be conducted on County Road 33.

I am, therefore, requesting that the Elk River City Council pass a
resolution requesting the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners
to ask that the Minnesota Department of Transportation conduct a
traffic study on County Road 33 from Highway 169 east to County
Road 13.

I will be in attendance at Monday night's council meeting to
highlight the actual meeting.

TDZ/kma

13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
