According to state law, the governing <br />body shall canvass the returns and declare the results of the election within two days after <br />the election. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting the City Council to call a special meeting of the Board of Canvass for <br />the pUIpose of canvassing the results of the general election for the positions of Mayor, <br />Council Member Ward 1, and Council Member Ward 4. Staff is recommending that the <br />Board of Canvass meeting be held on Thursday November 10, at 5:30 p.ll The board of <br />Canvass meeting should last no more than 10 minutes. <br /> <br />Action Reauested: Motion to call Board of Canvas meeting on November 10, 1994, at <br />5:30 p.ll <br /> <br />P.O.
