<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />OCTOBER 1, 1973 <br /> <br />The Elk River Town Board was called to order by the chairman EL Specht. Dave Goddard and Bob <br />Hastings appeared. Mr. Hastings bought the Ben Cox farm. Mr. Hasting would like to build a road <br />East and West joining the road past and Goddard road to accommodate <br />the school bus. He was given road specs for building road. Also the board said they would grade or <br />surface the road from to the Cox farm at the same time. Mrs. Zappa and Ralph <br />Brown and all members of Ridgewood appeared to complain about the new street numbers. The <br />would like to go on record as wanting their street names as they were in the past. Next a group of <br />residents from Lloyd Anderson Riverview Heights appeared to complain about the road in that plat. <br />Mrs. Grace Benson appeared before the board to complain about speeding in her area. It was <br />suggested to place 3 thirty (30) miles speed signs. These to be 3 in each direction. A motion was <br />made that 6 signs be placed on Lester Anderson road. Motion by F. Madsen seconded by E. <br />Schulke. The motion so carried. Madsen seconded by E. Schulke that 7,000.00 be transferred to Road <br />and Bridge from Revenue a Poor fund. Motion unanimously carried. So ordered.
