<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 21, 1909 <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at the office O.J. Whitman. <br /> <br />Members present: F.L. Salter, President, B. Carr, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, <br />recorder. Meeting called to order by the President at 5:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes of last meeting read and approved. <br /> <br />A motion made by Virgin, seconded by Pollard, to accept Ordinance No.56 an amendment to <br />Section VI of Ordinance No.47 was carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were audited and allowed: <br />S.M. Crockett – ½ cord wood and sawing $2.45 <br />The Elk River Lumber Co. – tile - $5.76 <br />Chas M. Babcock – rental of engine house for year 1909 - $60.00 <br />W.L. Babcock Sons Co. – nails and ? - $.60 <br />O.J. Whitman – recorders salary ? & postage - $25.00 <br /> TOTAL - $93.81 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Virgin seconded by Pollard to allow O.J.
