<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 30, 1909 <br /> <br /> <br />The Common Council met at the office of O.J. Whiteman, on Tuesday, March 30, 1909 <br /> <br />Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, B. Carr, Polalard, trustees, O.J. Whiteman, <br />recorder. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes were read from last meeting and approved. <br /> <br />A resolution was presented by <br /> to repeal ordinance no for licensing drags on motioned by Virgin, seconded by Carr was <br />carried. <br /> <br />On motuion made by Virgin seconded by Carr to refund the Five dollars to John Hardet, he had <br />paid for drag license for 1909, was carried. <br /> <br />The following bills were audited and allowed: <br />Frank Fredericks, work on street - $3.50 <br />The Patterson Street Lighting Co. – globes - $27.00 <br />Hubner ? Co. – glass for streetlights - $6.15 <br />Bert Carr – team work on snowplow - $13.25 <br />W.F. Chadboune – for judges for Village election - $8.00 <br />W.R. Rhoda – freight on globes and gasoline - $1.47 <br />Lea Slabach – work on street - $3.38 <br />John Blocker – team work on street - $6.00 <br />E.G. ?ask?? – work on scales - $1.25 <br />Godfrey Wi?? ? ? ? no.10 - $15.37 <br />John Harnlet, regund oof drag license - $5.00 <br />S.S.
