<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />March 9, 1965 <br /> <br />The town board of Elk River Township met at the Court House for the township election. Polls <br />opened at 10 o’clock. The business meeting was held at 1 o’clock this afternoon. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Dick Hinkle. The ______ report was read. The treasurer report <br />was read. The road and bridge fund was 10,357.30. The revenue was 4,231.58. The poor fund was <br />2,184.50. The balance was $9,701. <br /> <br />New business discussed at this time was the question raised by Jerry Spencer of planning out private <br />driveways. The motion was made by Earl Schulke to raise the revenue to $5,000.00 and was <br />seconded by Moldenhauer. <br /> <br />Everett Specht made the motion to up the road and bridge the same at $7,500.00 and seconded by <br />Mel Peterson. <br /> <br />Motion was made to raise the poor fund to $3,000.00 by Everett and seconded by Earl S. <br /> <br />Motion was made to put the town boards election ad in the paper 2 times prior to the election day. <br />Hold the meeting at the same time 1 o’clock. Polls opening at 10 o’clock. <br /> <br />Motion was made and seconded that we get 4 signs (Road Restrictions) for the tar roads and <br />publication in the Star News. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded we adjourn. <br /> <br />Polls were declared closed at 4 p.m. <br /> <br />Richard Hinkle – District Supervisor – 11 <br />Earl Schulke – Supervisor – 12 <br />I. Moldenhauer – Treasure – 13 <br />Richard Hinkle declared district supervisor for 5 years. Earl Schulke, supervisor for 3 years. I. <br />Modenhauer, treasurer for 2 years. <br /> <br />1.
