Meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, November 2, 2020 <br />Members Present: Mayor John Dietz, Councilmembers Nate Ovall, Matt Westgaard, <br />and Jennifer Wagner <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Garrett Christianson <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Calvin Portner, Finance Director Lori Ziemer, <br />Fire Chief Mark Dickinson, Parks and Recreation Director Michael <br />Hecker, Recreation Assistant Alisa Wallace, Part -Time Cablecaster <br />Michaels Strand, IT Director Bob Pearson, Multipurpose Facility <br />Superintendent Tim Dalton, and Sr. Admin. Assistant/Recording <br />Secretary Jennifer Green <br />I . Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />was called to order at 6:31 p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />3. Consider Agenda <br />Mr. Portner added Item 8.3, "Calling a Canvassing Meeting" and handed out a staff <br />report. <br />Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Westgaard to approve the agenda with the addition of Item 8.3. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />4. Consent Agenda <br />Councilmember Wagner asked for clarification of Item 10.1 in the September 8, <br />2020, minutes, page 10, that the home invasion was two doors down from her home <br />and not the applicant's home. <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br />Wagner to approve the Consent Agenda for November 2, 2020, with the <br />modification to Item 4.1: <br />4.1 September 8, 2020, Minutes, with the change made noted above. <br />4.2 Check register as outlined in the staff report. <br />
