Councilmembers Schuldt and Kropuenske MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmembers Holmgren and Dobel STAFF PRESENT: Patrick Klaers. City Administrator; Stephen Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator; Cliff Skogstad. Building Official 1. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. Consider 8/7/89 City Council Agenda Item #3. Consideration of 7/31/89 City Council Minutes. was deleted. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/7/89 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA AS AMENDED. COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 4. Open Mike No one appeared for this item. at this time. 5. Zone Change Request by Faith Fellowship Church/Public Hearing/Tabled Mayor Tralle indicated that this item was tabled until the August 21 meeting at the request of the petitioner. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO 8/21/89 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. CONTINUE THE PUBLI C HEARING UNTIL THE COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE 6.1. Consider Park Consultant Recommendations Mayor Tralle indicated that the Park and Recreation Commission has been evaluating different Consulting firms to develop a City of Elk River Parks Master Plan. Mike O'Brien. Park and Recreation Commission Chairman. stated that the Park and Recreation Commission sent out Requests for Proposals for a Parks Master Plan and received four proposals. He indicated that the Park and Recreation Commission interviewed all four applicants and stated further that they would like to recommend Sander's and Associates. He indicated that the Commission based their recommendation on the price and the ability to respond to the REP. He also indicated that the City Administrator did background checking on Sanders and Associates and received very positive recommendations.
