NW Rezone property from Ric to R1a Reviewed by <br /> Single Family Residential, Case No. ZC 16-02 <br /> Action Requested <br /> Recommend,by motion,approval of the Zone Change from R1-c to R1-a for the following reason: <br /> 1. The subject area is outside of the Urban Service District which does not support R1-c <br /> requirements. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> Staff was contacted by a property owner in the subject area regarding the size of an accessory structure <br /> they could build on their property. When researching the answer, staff thought there was an error on the <br /> zoning map. The subject properties are currently shown as R1-c but are 2 1/2 acres or larger in size and <br /> are outside the Urban Service District. These criteria reflect those of the R1-a zoning district. <br /> Upon reviewing the archived zoning maps, somewhere between 1989 and 1996, the subject property was <br /> changed from R1-a to R1-c.
