This parking area was constructed in <br />the middle of the 1999-2000 school year. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />· Location map <br />· Map of parking lot <br />· Staff report to City Council dated 12/13/99 <br /> <br />Overview <br /> <br />On December 13, 1999 the City Council approved a request by the School <br />District to use the athletic field between the Senior High and Vandenberg as a <br />temporary parking lot for the remainder of the 1999-2000 school year. The <br />School District wanted to use this area to replace parking lost when they closed <br />the parking lot at the Oak Knoll baseball fields. <br /> <br />The School District is again requesting to use the same field as temporary <br />parking. They would like to use this area as parking from August 15, 2000 to <br />June 15, 2002. As they did last year, no improvements are proposed for the area, <br />including Class ¥. The area will be about 345 feet long by 135 feet wide and <br />delineated with stakes and ropes. Staff suggests that because this will be used <br />for at least one full school year, a more durable surface such as class five be <br />installed.
