Prior to going to market to fill the <br /> position, staff evaluated the position description and is bringing forward an updated position description <br /> that more accurately reflects the current roles and responsibilities of the position. <br /> When the position was first created, hours were divided between building maintenance and the fire <br /> department. A few years ago, all of the hours became allocated to the fire department. While this was <br /> done during the regular budget process, the position description was not updated. This, among other <br /> items, had been updated. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> None.
