REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />To Item Number <br />Ma or and Ci Council 5.2. <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Worksession ul 12, 2010 Phil Hals, Street Su erintendent <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Public Works Master Plan Architect Approval Lori ohnson, Ci Administrator <br /> Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />Staff requests Council's approval to hire the architectural firm, SEH, Inc., to complete a Public Works <br />site master plan in the amount of $15,000. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The Public Works facility that houses the Street Division, Park Maintenance Division, and Fleet <br />Maintenance Services is 24 years old and over crowded. The main issues are the lack of equipment <br />storage space, plus the fact that our fuel pumping system is out dated and the fuel tanks are single walled. <br />The most pressing need is to update the fuel tanks and pumps, but an entire site study is warranted so the <br />fuel tanks will be located in the proper place when the facility expansion takes place. The 2010 <br />Government Building Reserve Fund has $250,000 designated for updating the fuel system <br />Financial Impact <br />The 2009 Government Building Reserve Fund had $50,000 designated to fund the professional services <br />for a site master plan. <br />Attachments <br />None <br />Action Motion by Second by Vote <br />Follow Up <br />7-12-10 MC Action Request Hire Architectural Services <br />
