�J <br />/ * *ITEM 5.4.** <br />ty of MEMORANDUM <br />I k TO: Mayor and City Council <br />River <br />FROM: Sandra Thackeray, City Clerk <br />DATE: December 4, 1995 <br />SUBJECT: Premise Permit Renewal for American <br />Legion <br />INTRODUCTION. <br />The American Legion has made application for a premise permit renewal to <br />operate pull-tabs. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />State Law requires the local government unit to pass a resolution either <br />approving or denying the application for a Premises Permit prior to the <br />Gambling Control Board's review of the application. <br />Attached is the American Legion's "Expenditure of Funds" report. The <br />American Legion has met the City's requirement of spending 75% of its <br />lawful expenditures within the City's trade area during 1994 and through <br />September of 1995. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Council motion to adopt the attached resolution approving a Premise Permit <br />for the American Legion. <br />13065 Orono Parkway • P.O.
