Notice of the event shall be given to area residents and businesses. <br />2. Committee shall provide garbage and recycling through a private contractor. Any debris in the <br />park shall be cleaned up immediately following the event. <br />3. The Committee shall provide enough portable toilet facilities through a private contractor to <br />accommodate the expected attendance. The Committee will coordinate locations for the toilet <br />facilities through the parks maintenance supervisor. <br />4. Proof of insurance with minimum coverage limits of one million dollars and the city named as an <br />additional insured shall be required. <br />Background/Discussion <br />As Council is aware the Independence Day 2010 Committee is planning a fireworks event on Sunday, July <br />4, 2010. The Committee is requesting to use Lions Park fox citizens to watch fireworks. They also are <br />requesting use of the bandshell. <br />The police chief will handle security and traffic control <br />Financial Impact <br />The Committee has requested a waiver of park fees. The bandshell fee is $20. The major park use fee can <br />be up to $500.
