5/11/10 <br />Crash Data <br />193rd Avenue Traffic count Data <br />Crash data was requested for the entire corridor from the Elk River Police Department. The history shows no recorded crashes at Xavier and 193`d Avenue. There is one <br />recorded incident at Tyler Street and 193`d Avenue since 193`d Avenue was opened to traffic. <br />Both accidents that have occurred in 2010 were weather related (fog and ice) according to the <br />Police Department. The Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices allows for <br />stop signs to be installed in cases where "a crash problem, as indicated by 5 or more reported <br />crashes in a 12 month period that are susceptible to correction by amulti-way stop installation. <br />Such crashes include right-and left-turn collisions aswell asright-angle collisions" <br />
