ARTICLE I PURPOSE <br />• <br />1. PURPOSE <br />The MINNESOTA COUNTIES INSURANCE TRUST (MCIT) is a joint powers <br />organization created pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.59 and 471.981. MCIT <br />provides a means for Minnesota Counties and related entities to self insure workers' <br />compensation, property and casualty and employee benefits through a pooling <br />arrangement. MCIT also provides its members with risk management services to help <br />assure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. MCIT desires to secure <br />the services of Medtox to assist its members and members of the Association of <br />Minnesota Counties (AMC) in complying with the federal rules for drug and alcohol <br />• testing. The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the duties and obligations of the <br />parties. <br />ARTICLE II -SERVICE CENTER AND PERSONNEL <br />2. SERVICE CENTER AND PERSONNEL <br />2.1. SERVICE CENTER <br />Medtox shall maintain a principle Service Center in the State of Minnesota for <br />coordinating the delivery of services provided under the terms of this Agreement. <br />C] <br />2 <br />
