Minnesota Nah've Landscapes, Inc. <br />Using ecological services to enhance your environment. <br />Project Overview, Goals & Our Approach: <br />The goal of your project will be to create an ecologically appropriate, aesthetically <br />pleasing native plant community on the medians along the new 193` Avenue project. <br />Currently the site is exposed soil and it is understood the city is in the process of adding <br />and amending the soil so it is proper for the native plant installation. The attached <br />proposal lists our qualifications as well as includes the pricing sheet from the RFP. <br />Our approach will be to seed & plant after the city has treated the areas 2x to eliminate <br />any unwanted weed growth. After herbcide MNL will: <br />• Drill seed & pack where possible; hand seed/rake the rest of the areas. <br />• Install category 1 rapid degrade one sided straw erosion blanket. <br />• Plant end cap plantings with one gallon pots every 5 SF on average to match the <br />density measured on the end caps at the Orono Parkway Islands. <br />• Install cypress mulch <br />• Manage site for three years <br />• Water if requested. <br />MNL Qualifications <br />Minnesota Native Landscapes, Inc was founded in 1998 as an ecological restoration <br />services company. Entering our twelfth full season we have installed hundreds of <br />projects totaling thousands of acres of native plant communities throughout Minnesota <br />and Western Wisconsin. We also offer a complete land management and consulting <br />services to hundreds of sites annually MNL also currently manages nearly 2000 acres of <br />these ecosystems throughout the state annually. MNL also operates a 200 acre production <br />farm in Foley, MN where we produce 50 source identified prairie forbs and grasses. <br />Minnesota Native Landscapes, Inc. takes the approach that every project should be done <br />correctly the first time it is attempted. <br />Our mission statement reads: "To create and restore ecologically sound plant <br />communities by creating high quality, diverse natural areas. We use innovative <br />procedures and focus on the enhancement of habitat, water quality and aesthetics for <br />private landowners, commercial properties and public lands.
