Name of project: Target North Campus and Target Tech Center <br />Description: <br />These two sites are situated on large blocks of ground (80 acres and 40 acres <br />respectively) where Target chose to significantly limit the amounts of conventional <br />mowed turf. The Target North Campus holds approximately 3,000 employees and <br />includes a trail that circles through a large tract of the prairie. The Target Tech site has <br />only 10-20 employees and does not include a trail. Both sites are low maintenance and <br />are not irrigated.. <br />These plantings are highly successful. Target is contracting with Prairie Restorations, <br />Inc. (PRI) to maintain and manage these sites. At the North Campus site, which is older, <br />they are continuing to remove areas of conventional landscape and are planting those <br />areas with native plants.
