I was planning on putting an article first in the local paper emphasizing the importance of the request, but the time has come to submit a formal request for an all-way stop sign at the intersection of 193rd Avenue and Xavier St NUV. I was informed that the subject of this intersection may come up in tomorrow's meeting X415}. I did not see it on the posted agenda. Unfortunately, I am not able to make tomorrow night's meeting and an open Mike discussion because of other commitments. I could go on and on about the 193rd Avenue Extension and how many of Terr Maurer's . y judgments were poor and the Council's decisions were also inappropriate, At this point, these opinions will not do any good. The extension is in and has inappropriately become a permanent "through" street. The safety of my family and also my neighbors is of utmost importance. This street is currently not safe and just waiting for a tragic accident to occur! So I get to my point of this email; I am formally requesting that the City Council approve the addition of an all-way stop intersection at 193rd Avenue and Xavier St Nw. See the attached petition request that is signed by seventy-nine X79} homeowners I residents within the neighborhoods}, I had the pleasure over the last summer 1 fall to meet many nice neighbors while collecting these signatures of support. Everyone asked unanimous support} was agreeable to sign the petition. I had originally spoken with all of you during an open Mike session on July 6, 2009. A memo was then distributed by Terry Maurer on July 20, 2009 in response of the issues raised with the Extension also attached}, As a follow-up, I had issued an email follow up and further points in favor of my request email attached}. I know and understand the points against an ail way stop intersection. I disagree with the arguments because I feel like current safety risks knot to mention liability for the City} and common sense should be enough to have the signs installed.
