New Hennantown Early Childhood & Family Cenier is a picturesque project which is <br />a shining example of interagency cooperation. <br /> <br />Early Childhood Screening--Required by law, <br />it gives kids best possible start in school <br /> <br />Do you have <br />a 4-year-old child <br />who has not <br />been screened <br />for development, health, <br />vision, <br />and hearing? <br /> <br />The Hermantown school <br />district provides free <br />Early Childhood <br />Screening <br />every month. <br /> <br />Early Cltildhood Screening is designed to give your child the best <br />possible start in school. <br /> Minnesota Law 0VIS 123 701-7045) now requires that all children <br />attend Early Childhood Screening before they can enroll in <br />kindergarten. <br /> In compliance with this law, the Hermantown school district will <br />provide this free health and developmental screening for preschool <br />childre~t on a montAI. V basis at the Eiementa7 School. <br /> You will be contacted by phone or nail regarding an appointment. <br /> At the screening, your child will receive- <br /> . Vis~on and hearing screening; <br /> · Developmental screening; <br /> · Height and weight measurement. <br />And the parent Will receive- - Re~,~lts of the screening; <br />· Review of your child's health histmy and immunization status. <br />Health referrals will be made to your child's primary health care <br />provider or dentist, and developmental findings Will be followed up <br />by Hennantown school district personnel.
