A bond <br />referendum in 1993 financed the new school. The <br />City of Chanl~assen Invested $2.5 million of tax <br />Increment proceeds to complete its 23,000 square <br />foot recreation center.. As it ~rns <br />out, the recreation center Is actually, located on <br />land owned by the District. In addition to the <br />main bulldin& the site will contain a multi-purpose <br />park shelter, five .bali fl.elds, two ligl?ted .hockey . <br />rinks, four lighted tennis courts, ano a pmygrou, no. <br />The ,e?ementary school classrooms are groupeo <br />into family clusters' allowing multi-age grouping <br />for learning as appropriate.
