That Sec'tian. 30 -658 of the Elk River City Code shall be amended to read as follows: Sec. 30 -658. ,Interim uses. a) Definiti#s. The defini- tions in section 30 -1 are appli- cable in this section. b) Authorization. The City Council may uthorize interim uses of prope ty by issuance of interim use rmits. c) Required endings. Before the City Co ncil may autho- rize an interim use, it must make the foll wing findings: 1. The period of time for which the interim a permit is to be granted will erminate before any adverse impacts are felt upon adjacen properties. 2. There is adequate as fur - ance that th property will be left in suita a condition after the use is to ated. 3. The use 's similar to uses ..,allowed in the zoning district in rich the property is located. The date or event that will terminate th use can be iden- tified with ce ainty. 5. Authoriz g the use will not impose addit onal costs on the public if it is necessary for the public to to a the property,in the future. 6. The app icant and user agree to all c nditions that the City Counci deems appropri- ate for aut orization of the interim use. 7. The ap licant provides assurances eemed adequate by the City ouncil that the use will ter inate as provided in the interi use permit. The City Counci may require the applicant t deposit a cash amount wit the City, or pro- vide some o her form of secu- rity, to ens a compliance with this criteria. 8. Authoriz tign of the interim use will not result in adverse effects on t e public health, safety, or we are. 9.
