Box 430 <br />Elk River, MN 55330-0430 <br />March 2, 2010 <br />TO: Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission <br />John Dietz <br />Jerry Gumphrey <br />Daryl Thompson <br />FROM: Mark Fuchs <br />SUBJECT: Staff Upate -Electric Department <br />The following is a summary of projects and/or updates over the past several weeks: <br />Phone: ?63.441.2020 <br />Fax: 763.441.8099 <br />• Tested our overhead and underground protective grounds. We also tested our hot sticks; <br />both of these are done annually. <br />• Working on a street light counts in Dayton, Otsego, Big Lake Township and Elk River. <br />We verify the size of the fixture and location and get that documented in the map book. <br />• Continued working on tree trimming. <br />• Continued working on rebuilding and converting overhead lines on County Road 30 from <br />2400 volt to 7200 volt. <br />• Continued changing out our cutouts and fuses. Also checking underground equipment <br />and making map book changes. <br />• Received ten applications for new electric service. <br />• The City shop does D.O.T. inspections for our trucks and trailers. Half the units were <br />completed in February and the other half will be done during March. <br />• MMUA conducted our annual CPR training. <br />
