Positive work Environment <br />Council members shall support the maintenance of a positive and constructive <br />environment for citizens, businesses, city council and city staff. <br />S, Priorities of Council and Use o~C~ty Staff <br />Before asking city staff, including the city attorney, to research or put together any <br />new issues or action items for consideration and/or decision by the city council, <br />council members shall bring them before the council for direction at a regular <br />meeting or at a work session, The use of city staff time is limited to work directed by <br />the city administrator or the city council as a whole, <br />9~ Compliance <br />Council members themselves have the primary responsibility to assure that these <br />codes are understood and met, Council members shall read and comply with this <br />voluntary personal code of conduct to show citizens their camrnitment to <br />maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity and thereby encouraging <br />public confidence in their local government, <br />
