The <br />site serves the growing needs of Elk River and the surrounding area. <br /> <br />Estimated Time Required to Complete the Proposed Extraction: <br /> <br />The site is operated in phases. It is estimated that the proposed <br />revisions to the mining limits will add an additional 2-3 years to the <br />over all mining operation. The original mining operation was estimated <br />to take 20-25 years to complete mining.
