The Locating Department had a total of 66 locate tickets for December. Some of
them were meets which required several trips back to the same area as needed to
mark utilities. Two of the tickets were emergency locates.
2. The Metering Department continues with weekly and monthly substation checks,
changing out meters to the radio read meters, and doing the monthly power bill.
Also, working with the Electric Department on capacitor banks.
3. The Security Systems Department had a total of 92 phone contacts, 18 personal
visits, 18 systems quoted, 21 sales made, 17 installs completed and 25 service
calls for the month of December. Great month for the Security Systems
Department!
4. Map books continue to be updated daily as crews add or change something in
them. We are getting ready for printing a new edition.
5. Power Plant staff has performed the monthly run of the generators and everything
looked good. Staff is working on the written lock-out tag-out procedures for
each piece of equipment in the power plant. In this process, a pump cut-off
switch was found to be defective and couldn't be turned off or on. It was repaired
by staff after finding out that it was too old to buy parts for.
