<br />The Northstar Corridor Development Authority met in regular session on May 3, 2001, in the Board Room at the
<br />Sherburne County Government Center, Elk River, Minnesota.

<br />Present were: Betsy Wergin, Tim Yantos, Lynn George, Eugene Young, Jeff Schilling, Tim Houle, Ken
<br />Stevens, Paul Danielson, Elliott Perovich, Mike Schadauer, Jean Keely, Kate Garwood, Kirsti Marohn, Ann-
<br />Therese Schmid, Linda Jungwirth, Vic Oviatt, David Hampton, Luci Botzek, Jim Barton, Scott Harlicker,
<br />Robert Kirchner, Bob Johnson, Patrick Cairns, Woody Bissett, Duane Cekalla, John Ellenbecker, Lewis
<br />Stark, Duane Grandy, David Loch, Jeff Dehler, Mary Richardson, Ewald Petersen, Terry Nagorski, John
<br />Norgren, Gary Hammer, Ken Paulson, Steve Billings, Paul McCarron, Tom Gamec, Paul Ostrow, Renee

<br />1. The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Chairperson Betsy Wergin.
<br />
<br />New representatives Patrick Wussow, City of Big Lake, and Renee Zeleny, Watab Townhip, were
<br />introduced as new members to the Authority.

<br />A motion was made by Patrick Cairns, seconded by Lewis Stark and carried unanimoasly to approve
<br />the agenda of Thursday, May 3, 2001, and the meeting minutes of April 5, 2001, as presented.
<br />
<br />Executive Committee Report:
<br />a) Paul McCarron provided an update on the congressional and legislative activities.

<br />Jeff Dehler, Anoka County, reviewed the results of a short survey which was conducted by Decision
<br />Resources, Ltd. by telephone of 400 random selected households between April 26 - 28, 2001.
<br />Results of this short survey indicated that the majority (60%) would use the rail line. A larger, more
<br />detailed survey will be conducted in the near future.
<br />
<br />Jeff distributed a copy of the Northstar Corridor Commuter Rail News (Spring 2001) to all members
<br />along with a list of Legislators and urged all members and citizens to contact their respective
<br />Legislator now urging their support of the Northstar Corridor rail line.
<br />
<br />A demonstration was provided on the updated website (www.NorthstarTrain.org) which now
<br />includes information on station locations, rail schedule and costs, news updates and an opportunity to
<br />register and become involved in the project.

<br />A motion was made by Ewald Peterson, seconded by Duane Grandy and carried
<br />unanimously to approve the recommendation of the Executive Committee to approve
<br />Resolution #2001-05 authorizing the Chair or Vice-Chair of the Northstar Corridor
<br />Development Authority to execute agreements and other documents necessary to accomplish
<br />
