Background/Discussion Annually, the City of Elk River is asked to enter into a maintenance agreement with Wright County for maintenance of the Parrish Avenue Bridge. Since the bridge was rebuilt many years ago, the City of Elk River and Wright County have shared maintenance duties. Since 2002, this agreement has been entered into annually; therefore, Wright County is asking the City of Elk River to once again enter into a maintenance agreement for the Parrish Avenue Bridge during 2010. The agreement is exactly the same as the agreement entered into in past years. Financial Impact There is no financial impact beyond the maintenance issues that the city has currently been responsible for on the Parrish Avenue Bridge. These include maintenance of the street lights, removal of snow from the sidewalk, maintenance of the slope and berms on the north approach, snow and ice control from bridge and approaches, and removal of marking/spray paint from visible surfaces of bridge structure.
