The Commission is asked <br />evaluate this proposed access solution and provide a recommendation to the City Council. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Location Map <br />Proposed Driveway <br />Driveway/Street Alignment <br />Proposed Road/Street <br /> <br />Analysis <br /> <br />The Mayor is facilitating the request for an alternate access on behalf of the residents located <br />east of Hillside City Park. Due to the lowering of County Road 12 during ks reconstruction, <br />the existing driveway access will become unsafe due to an increase in slope and a lack of a <br />perpendicular intersection with County Road 12. In 1995, the City Council agreed to sell <br />land to the County to provide a new driveway through Hillside City Park. At the April 16~h <br />City Council meeting, the Council agreed that only an easement would be granted to the <br />County for the reconstructed driveway and that the right of access would be granted to the <br />adjacent residents. <br /> <br />The residents feel that the current slope of the driveway is unsafe, and feel that the proposed <br />driveway would also be unsafe.
