13065 0r0n0 Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />CAROL MILLS WEEK <br />JUNE 10-16, 2001 <br /> <br />Item 4.3. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Carol Mills began her career at Guardian Angels 36 years ago in 1965 <br />as the Director of Nursing, became the Nursing Home Administrator in <br />1967, was named the Executive Director in 1982 and is retiring as the <br />President and Chief Executive Officer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />during her career with Guardian Angels, Carol was instrumental in the <br />growth and development of Guardian Angels by providing low and moderate <br />income housing for seniors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Carol was instigative in the provision and expansion of many services for <br />senior residents including a senior center, a community hospice program, <br />Guardian Angels Home Health Care, and an adult day care; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to Carol's leadership Guardian Angels by the Lake was created which <br /> included a 60 unit Assisted Living building and 10 twinhomes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Carol Mills established a reputation for excellence in older adult services on a <br /> state wide and national level as she served on numerous board of directors. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Mayor Stephanie Klinzing, call upon <br /> all citizens to recognize the special contributions Carol Mills has made to our <br /> community and to our senior citizens. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that I, Mayor Stephanie A. <br /> Klinzing, do hereby proclaim: <br /> <br />June 10 - 16, 2001, as Carol Mills Week. <br /> <br />Stephanie A.
