p~y~ Z 4 1995
August 22, 1995
Elk River City Council
Attn. City Clerk
Dear Counci 1:
We were sent a notice of street overlay assessment concerning
parcel 75-1 17-4009 on August 10th. We don't believe the
assessment to be fair to the homeowners along 206th Avenue
NW. 206th Avenue NW is a gravel road maintained by five
property owners ~ n the area. The city does not provide for snow
removal or road maintenance of any type. This road is an east-
west road that comes off a cul-de-sac at the end of Watson St.
tt is our understanding that the overlay assessment concerns
• Watson St. Our property is two tenths of a mile from Watson St.
and we do nvt receive the benefits of a blacktop road or city
maintained road past our property, We are unable to bike,
rollerbiade, or recreate on the surface near our home. We do not
share the convenience or the cleanliness a blacktop road brings
to a property such as those homeowners adjacent to Watson St.
WE FEEL THE ASSESSMENT TO OUR PROPERTY 1 S ~1NFA1 R ! t i s our
hope the Counci 1 wi 11 reconsider the street overlay assessment
at the hearing on Monday, August 28. We plan to attend the
hearing and voice our concerns.
incerely,
..._ - ~ r~-e ~-
~ ~~~~
i 11 and ebra Honek
12801 206th Avenue NW
Elk River, MN 55330
n
L~
