The following are three of these tax forfeited parcels that staff is <br />recommending the city purchases. Vicinity maps and plat maps for these <br />three parcels are attached to this memo. <br />1. Parce175-130-1107 <br />This parcel is almost entirely pond. Staff is recommending we <br />purchase it to control drainage in this area. <br />The purchase price for this parcel is $1,250. There is also $1,250 owed <br />to the city on this parcel for special assessments, therefore, the county <br />would reimburse the city. $1,250. Picking this parcel up would <br />basically be abreak-even proposition because it is unlikely anyone else <br />would buy it and pay the special assessment. <br />2. Parcel 75-428-0005 (Outlot A, Ridgewood East) <br />Staff is recommending that the city purchase this parcel to control <br />drainage in this area. The purchase price would be $581.95; $42.41 of <br />this price is a sewer interceptor assessment. <br />3. Parcel 75-430-0170 (Lot 13, Block 1, Meadowvale Park) <br />The Park and Recreation Commission is recommending that the city <br />purchase this parcel as a neighborhood park. The purchase price is <br />$16,500, which would come from park dedication fee's. <br />The bold line on the attached vicinity map is the boundary of the park <br />service area in this location. Park service area boundaries are defined <br />by major obstacles such as highways, rivers, etc. This lot is rather <br />small and expensive for a neighborhood park.
