®F~ • Every occupant shall, where required by this ordinance, the environmental control ordinance, or the Building and Zoning Administrator, furnish and maintain approved devices, equipment, or facilities necessary to keep his/her premises safe and sanitary. 2. Substandard Buildings - All buildings or portions thereof which are determined to be substandard as defined in this ordinance are hereby declared to be public nuisances and shall be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal in accordance with the procedure specified in Section 1007.22 of this ordinance. If the building or structure is in such condition as to make it immediately dangerous to the life, limb, property, or safety of the public or of the occupants, it shall be ordered to be vacated as provided in Section 1007.22. 3. Right of Appeal - When a person to whom a Compliance Order is directed alleges that such Compliance Order is based upon erroneous interpretation of the Ordinance or upon a misstatement or mistake of fact, such person may appeal as set forth in Section 900.40. • 4. Violations - It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this ordinance and shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. X007.06 - PERMITS, INSPECTIONS, AND LICENSE 1. General - No building or structure regulated by this ordinance shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted, or demolished unless a building permit for each building or structure has first been obtained from the Building Official in the manner and according to the applicable conditions prescribed in the Building Code. 2. Fees - Whenever a building permit is required by Section 1007.04(1) of this ordinance, the appropriate fees shall be paid to the Building Official as specified in the Building Code. 3.
